Christopher Lum, MD is a board-certified Dermatopathologist with an additional subspecialty board in Molecular Diagnostics. He has a special interest in cutaneous lymphomas and melanocytic tumors.

Dr. Lum was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. After graduate studies in immunology, he did a surgical pathology residency at the University of Southern California-Los Angeles County General Hospital and a dermatopathology fellowship at Weill Cornell University/ Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Lum directs dermatopathology services. The Complete Dermatology clinics have in-sourced their Dermatopathology services for enhanced clinical correlation and seamless clinical decision making by histopathologic assessment.

Dr. Lum's responsibility is to ensure that your tissue sample is handled with care and precision. He is able to utilize a wide range of standard testing methodologies and immunohistochemistry as well as state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques such as direct immunofluorescence, viral direct fluorescence assays, interphase fluorescent in situ hybridization and DNA sequencing for their use in cutaneous diseases.

In his free time, Dr. Lum enjoys spending time with his four children.
